Great Place to Work® Names Monsanto Company One of the 50 Best Workplaces for Flexibility
ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Great Place to Work® Institute and Fortune® magazine have recognized Monsanto as one of the 50 Best Workplaces for Flexibility, ranking the company No. 11. “At Monsanto, our focus on work-life balance not only helps us attract and retain talented people from around the world but also enables our employees to achieve success both at work and home,” says Monsanto Executive Vice President of Human Resources Steve Mizell. “Ranking on Fortune and Great Place to Work’s 50 Best Workplaces for Flexibility list is an extraordinary honor and reinforces why our culture is key to the success of our employees and our business.” Monsanto was among more than 500 organizations considered for the Great Place to Work’s 50 Best Workplaces for Flexibility list. Great Place to Work selected companies for this list based on responses to the Trust Index, Great Place to Work’s employee assessment survey, as well as an analysis of respondents’ anonymous comments. Survey questions assessed co-workers’ feelings on work-life balance, in addition to factors like communication, fairness and leadership that affect employees’ ability to accommodate their personal lives without compromising their careers. Fortune and Great Place to Work also considered the range of flexible workplace programs offered at each organization and the frequency of their use. The 50 Best Workplaces for Flexibility ranking is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based upon employee survey feedback from published Great Place to Work reviews. “Creating career flexibility isn’t as simple as giving people time off or the chance to adjust their schedules to meet demands at home,” said Kim Peters, Executive Vice President of Great Place to Work. “These companies have made a real investment in credible, trusting cultures that help employees achieve their goals both inside and outside the workplace.” Third-party organizations continue to recognize Monsanto as an employer of choice. Great Place to Work Institute named Monsanto No. 9 among the 2015 World’s Best Multinational Workplaces, and WorldatWork awarded the company with its Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP) Work-Life Seal of Distinction in 2016. The company also received awards recognizing its employees’ innovation, leadership, and workplace by Computerworld® magazine (100 Best Places to Work in IT), DiversityInc® magazine (Top 50 Companies for Diversity®), CR Corporate Responsibility Magazine® (100 Best Corporate Citizens) and Human Rights Campaign (Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality). 2015 was also the first year that Monsanto was recognized as an employer of choice by Great Place to Work Institute in every region it operates.
