" Systems and procedures in place to uphold fair labor standards Accreditation supports delivery of commitments in The Good Growth Plan " Syngenta working with the FLA towards global program accreditation Syngenta announced today that it has become the first agriculture company to receive accreditation from the Fair Labor Association (FLA). The FLA concluded that Syngentas compliance program has systems and procedures in place to ensure fair labor standards throughout its Indian production and supply operations, including: " Adopting and communicating workplace standards " Training staff to assess and remediate non-compliance issues " Conducting internal assessments of facilities " Providing workers with confidential reporting channels Mark Peacock, Syngentas Head of Global Operations, said: "Becoming the first agriculture company to secure FLA accreditation is a source of great pride and the culmination of a journey that began in 2004. Above all, it highlights our absolute commitment to worker welfare. But we also know there is still much to do and well continue working with the FLA to create more ethical supply chains in every country we operate in."
